November 27th & 28th word count
Arrg. The last couple of days have been rough. I had one more day to do family stuff before going home, and then I spent the day packing up and driving home, which took 5 and a half hours. I'm beat.
Thankfully I have tricked myself well. Tomorrow I will be working in relative quiet (if everything goes like normal) for twelve hours tomorrow. Now, it's possible work will be absolutely crazy all day, anything is possible. But it would be the first time in these labs I've ever seen. They're quiet on a regular basis. And I've had 4,000 word days under those conditions before. I can do it. I've promised myself a present. I can do it for you, Yoda.

November 26th word count
Almost... there... There is almost, sort of, a story happening. I have almost completely eliminated contractions from my writing, and the habit of writing "everything" as "every thing" would be annoying if it was going on much longer.
Less than 5,000 words, and less than three days left.
Will I continue to write after NaNoWriMo?
Will these various stories resolve themselves?
Will I ever stop speaking so dramatically?
All these questions answered and more, in the next installment of...
Does any one give a shit?!

November 24th word count
No word count for yesterday, since I spent 7 hours trying to drive from Houston to San Antonio... Ugh. Next year I think I'll wait until midnight to get on the road.
Anyway, here's Tuesday's word count.
Today, I vow that a Tryptophan overdose will not keep me from getting my word count in. Less than 5 days left and I still have over 12,000 words to go!

November 18th word count
The update is... that there's no update. Ugh. I had to study for a test most of the day yesterday, but after the test today I think I can focus on writing. *Fingers crossed*

November 17th word count
Oy. Falling further behind every day... I have two tests coming up, but once the Thanksgiving break starts I'll have nothing to do but eat turkey and write. If my calculations hold, starting November 25th, I'll have to write 2,845 words a day to make it by the deadline.
Which is possible, if I can hold myself to it.
Fingers crossed!

The weekend non-word count.
Yeah, you know that thing... uh, what's it called? It happens when you're making other plans? Oh yeah, Life. That's it.
Well, that's why my word count did not grow this weekend.
Hopefully I'll be caught up by tomorrow.
I only need to write 3,000 words by the end of the day. That's easy, right?
Right?
(crickets chirping)

Nanowrimo has begun!
For those of you that don't know, Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month. All over the world, during November, hundreds of thousands of people are united by two things: trying to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, and tearing their hair out in frustration.
And I'm doing it again! Why, you may ask. Well, that's a question I'll be asking myself over and over again for the next 29 days.
In the meantime, here's my word count from yesterday.
Without Dr. Wicked's evil writing device, that word count would not have been possible.
